My Auntie K. just sent me this fantastic photo of her (the cute little one) and my Dad (oldest) and Uncle J., alongside this one of my kids. What a fun side-by-side :)

Better videos
The video quality in the last post kinda stinks. These should be much better!

Oh where, oh where...
...did my little blog go?
Lost the time and the heart recently. The to-do list gets long enough that the free time left over is sparse and has no free energy left over to fill it. Tonight's post I can blame on insomnia! I was tossing and turning in bed and Reuel was trying to fall asleep while I was wide awake.
This weekend was fun!
Owen's Friday night glow-bowling birthday party for friend at school! Bowling in Massachusetts involves straight pins, small balls and three throws per turn. Pretty fun.
Saturday we needed a brief outing so in honor of Friday night, we tried out another local alley. VINTAGE bowling. It was neat! The sound of the who-knows-how-old pulley system in the back that brought your ball back was some old-timey ambience. And you push a little button to clear the pins. Also fun! Asher had a BLAST and somehow scored better than everyone but Daddy (who only beat him by 2 points) despite the fact that his balls came at the pins at perhaps 0.1 miles per hour. Eden enjoyed pushing the button and trying to roll a couple of balls. The outing would have been a major bust if not for gutter bumpers, those are GREAT.
This morning was church with a medley by the cherub choir (including Asher). I was in the nursery with Eden, but apparently the other Asher (there are two of them at church, only 3 months apart!!) was tickling and poking our Asher up front the whole time and ours somehow managed to stay focused. Miracles do happen! :)
After church we joined some other church families for the 3rd week in a row for free ice skating at a rink about halfway to the city. Reuel went the other two times so I left him home with Eden and took the boys today. For 3 times on the ice, Owen is not too shabby! Asher used the milk crate and was going great guns with his head down such that he would bowl over small children and anything else in his path! (It's hard to be a little brother listening to your big brother go on about how fast he can skate! You can't just enjoy it, you have to try to go *fast* too!) It got a bit crowded, but we had fun.
And here's a bit of Owen:
And last but not least, I attempted to completely clear out basement clutter (it was getting to be an episode of Hoarders down there) all morning on Saturday and tonight I carried 10 or 15 boxes and bags of donations over the ice sheets, down to the curb, in the 10 or 15 degree weather, to be picked up by the epilepsy foundation tomorrow. We can see the shelves again!! And I only fell on the ice with a 40 pound box once! (And lest you think my husband insensitive and lazy, he asked to do the lifting for me and I begged him for the privilege in exchange for putting the kids to bed, a job which I love in many ways, but at times feel I could take a decade's vacation from and still need a break the next day.)
While I'm posting sporting videos, here's one from last week's ski outing with Reuel and the boys (small ski mountain only 20 mins drive...spoiled rotten!). Owen has declared that he loves cold and snow and never wants to be hot again. "I don't like the beach anymore at all!" says he. Our little yeti. If this winter doesn't dissuade him, nothing will! Brrr.

Holidays
...holiday season is officially over :( It was a great one, though! Many wonderful memories.
4 days with 3 small children in a car weren't nearly as bad as they could have been!
Toys for kids and puzzles for grownups galore at Nunu's house! Not to mention the Christmas gifts!
Fun hanging with Deb and her main man!
Birthday party for Eden with friends from NC/Mom's church!
80 degree day! Wow.
Christmas Eve candlelight service!
Riding golf cart and feeding the ducks. Nearly as fun as Christmas :)
Coming back home to megasnow, extra days off of work/school and lots of sledding!
Painting and finishing Eden's room with the xtra time...YES!!!
Lots of family together time...best of all :)
Having a child on the school calendar makes the season seem especially short, but also especially wonderful because you really savor the time off. Sniff, back to it today.
