Miracle Day

Two long naps for Asher.  Wow.  No exaggerating...seems miraculous.
Owen asleep too.  Definite miracle.
A few minutes to post last week's pictures, then some pre-travel cleaning.

Aunt Deb December visit! (...her Christmas.  She gets to spend the real one in the Johns Hopkins ER!  Funsies!)  Aunt Deb gives great toddler mohawks while she's doing her own hair.

Don't love this, but there's a definite dearth of family pictures.  Some of us--I won't name names--are very gift-centric.

We celebrated an early 'Billerica Christmas' on Sunday while Deb was with us.  Music, tree, party food, presents!  It was a lot of fun.

Of course, after opening his age-appropriate awesome Christmas gifts, Owen decided the winning present was a silly, not-much-to-it Little Tikes camera that I got for Asher.  It is not even close to a real camera, just shaped like one with buttons that beep.  Owen was entranced with taking pictures of everyone and still wanders around the house a week later with 'his favowite pwesent!'

Here's the one 'nice' present we got him...so fun!  He does like it a lot, just not quite as much as the camera.  An indoor roller coaster!  Housebound-in-winter 2 year olds need indoor roller coasters.

Here's what happens when you're nursing a baby and a toddler asks if he can 'wash those windows' and you say 'sure' absentmindedly.

To finish, a current Asher shot.  Rolling, able to push up off the floor with straight arms, and no longer satisfied with laying on his back on the floor...MUST SIT UP, MUST SIT UP goes through his head all day.  You can almost hear him thinking!

Love the roller coaster. I must admit, A, S, and Z spent an awful lot of time playing with Lachlan's bday present of race cars on ramps. Age-appropriate gifts are highly overrated. :) Owen is at least as good at washing windows as some other two-year-olds I've known.
